This is a 10 minute play that I wrote for the creative writing class that I took last year.  As of now, it does not have a title.

I know I haven't posted anything in a long, long time but I've actually got something worth posting now. This past semester I was taking a creative writing course, all my finals (all two of them) are done so I thought I'd post some of the stuff I did for ENG 270.

Starting with two of my peoms.

If there is someone on your Friends List who makes your world a better place just because that person exists and who you would not have met (in real life or not) without the internet, then post this same sentence in your journal.

My day-to-day life is pretty average, but today I got a letter that makes life very interesting (and not interesting in a good way).

I've been called up for jury duty.
In a Federal Court.
In Los Angeles.

For those who don't know, I live in Santa Barbara. It's a small seaside town, 90 miles north of LA. That's a 180 mile round-trip drive.
The only upside to this whole thing, is if I get picked (which is not an upside), is that I'll get $40 per day, 40.5 cents per mile driven round-trip and my meals/hotel will be paid for because I had to drive more then 80 mile one-way.

A meteor crashes to earth bringing two things with it: a virus that leaves those infected unable to dream, by changing the subject's DNA it allows itself to be passes down through the generations, and a psionic parasitic entity called Nightmare. To survive, Nightmare piggybacks on the virus and uses it to merge with twelve people. The virus separates the inhabitants into two factions: the Sleepers, those unable to dream and the Dreamer, those who retain the capacity for dreaming.

300 years later, the walled city of Belmont is the last haven of the Dreamers. Within it's limits dwell the twelve nightmares and The Dream Eater Baku. Exiled by people she thought were her friends, Marie must contend with an environment that is familiar and at the same time alien.

"People come and people go. They're born and they die. But the city remains the same."
- Baku, The Dream Eater

I enjoy coloring line-art (even though I'm not very good at it) here's one I just finished today.
The art itself is not mine, unfortunatly I don't know the artist.

I made Oyako Donburi for dinner tonight. It turned out quite well but it could have been prettier. Oh well.
I've done plenty of 'American' dishes and even some 'Chinese' but this was my first foray into 'Japanese'.

Here's the recipe I used: http://chicken.allrecipes.com/az/ykDnbri.asp
